SICOMINES
In April 2008, the joint venture was established under the name Sicomines, adopting the form of a limited liability company. In April 2010, a feasibility study was conducted by the China Enfi Engineering Corp., which estimated the mineral reserves at 8,544,900 tonnes of copper and 571,800 tonnes of cobalt. In 2014, Sicomines Sarl was transformed into a public limited company following the application of Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) standards by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Construction of the mine was completed in 2015 and the company began production in October 2015. The following year, 2016, was its first year of full production.

Mining Details
Sicomines is located between the commune of Dilala, city of Kolwezi, and the village of Mutaka, groupement Kazembe, Luilu sector, Mutshatsha territory, about five kilometers from the city of Kolwezi.
